How to analyze Covid-19 economic impacts using a fine-tuned GPT model: An investigation into the model’s ability to capture diverse economic dynamics

Description:

The Corona pandemic had a huge impact on many areas of life, be it the health system, the public life, or the global market. Especially the impact on the economy was enormous. Global markets experienced an unprecedented recession.

The objective of this thesis is to analyze the impact of Covid-19 on the economy.

Information on various economic factors, the global market, or economic events during the pandemic will be collected and analyzed. Based on this data, a socalled Large Language Model will be optimized. A large language model is an artificial intelligence that understands the human language. When this model is trained with specific data, such as economic factors, it is able to perform tasks in this area. The fine-tuned models can then be used, for example, for question and answer. Beside the diploma thesis there was also a project to create such a question-answer model based on economic data.
