I presented my paper "Silence is Golden - Making Pauses in Human Utterances Comprehensible for Social Robots in Human-Robot Interaction" about the possibilities of OpenAI's Whisper to recognize and assess pauses in human-robot conversations at the IEEE/SICE International Symposium on System Integration (SII 2025) in Munich, January 21-24, 2025. It was also the right place to meet interesting ideas, people and robots.
